Residents Need Your Help Now

We are coordinating services for more than 1,000 residents living at Faubourg Lafitte, including nearly 450 children under the age of 18. With the Sojourner Truth Neighborhood Center, the community’s support hub now closed indefinitely, our team is working remotely to provide essential assistance to residents. We are focusing on supporting immediate needs:

  • Emergency Assistance through remote case management including: Access to food, medicine, rent assistance, help filling out unemployment forms and applying for other cash assistance, transportation to essential doctors’ appointments and wellness check ins, specifically targeting seniors and the disabled.
  • Enrichment Programs and Activities for children including: Formal and informal learning opportunities, as well as safe options for play.

Once the Sojourner Truth Neighborhood Center is back up and operating, we look forward to returning to our full array of in-person programs for children, families and seniors.
